Delectable Skillet Cabbage

the past, today’s cooks have discovered that cast iron skillets, griddles, pots, pans, Dutch ovens and other
types of cast iron cookware are capable of producing an amazing array of delicious, home cooked

Resist the temptation to buy the cabbage prechopped! They are cut
in a way that is not quite fit for this yummy creation. Do yourself a favor and take the extra time of
cutting the cabbage to your liking, you’ll be thanking yourself in the end.
Cooking Instructions:
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15-20 minutes
*Makes about 6 servings
Ingredients:
- 3
tablespoons canola oil
- 2
large onions, sliced
- 1
green pepper, seeded and chopped
- 4 cups
red or green cabbage, chopped
- 2
tomatoes, peeled and chopped
- 2
teaspoons sugar
- Salt
and pepper
Cooking Steps:
A) Using your cast iron skillet heat the oil.
B) Place the onions and green pepper in the skillet and cook for 10 minutes (lower the heat a little when done).
C) Next, stir in the cabbage, tomatoes, and sugar.
D) Cook for 10-15 minutes.
E) Evenly season the mix with salt and pepper when only two minutes are left for baking.
F) Serve and enjoy!
