  
Luscious Chocolate Muffin Cakes

types of cast iron cookware are capable of producing an amazing array of delicious, home cooked

dinner dessert! When you place these delicious morsels on your table you will be amazed at how quickly these moist
cakes will disappear. Your guests will be begging for seconds!

Instructions:
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
*Makes about 16 servings
Ingredients:
- ½
butter
- ½ cup
vegetable shortening
- 2 cups
sugar
- 3
eggs
- 1
teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups
all-purpose flour
- ½
teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon soda
- 1 cup
sour cream
- 1
package (12 oz) chocolate chips
- 3
ounces German chocolate, melted
Cooking Steps:
A) Set oven to 325 degrees for preheat and grease your
cast iron muffin pan .
B) Mix the butter, shortening, and sugar all together. Then, one at a time, and the eggs and your
vanilla.
C) In another bowl, mix all of the dry ingredients (flour, salt, soda). Gradually add the mixture of
butter and sour cream to the new bowl. Then mix in the two chocolates.
D) Carefully pour the well stirred batter into the cast iron muffin pan and set into the oven. Leave it to
bake for approximately 30 minutes, then remove and serve.
