Succulent Pan-Fried Okra

Cooking Instructions:
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes *Makes about 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 2
pounds of Okra
- 1 cup
of white cornmeal
- ½
teaspoon salt
- ½
teaspoon of onion salt
- 1/4
teaspoon pepper
- Canola
oil
Cooking Steps:
A) Remove the seeds from the Okra after washing them. Slice the Okra in to ½ inch
slices.
B) Mix the cornmeal, salt, onion salt, and pepper in a bowl. Coat the Okra with the cornmeal mixture.
C) While your cast-iron skillet is on a mild heat setting, put the oil in. Add the Okra when the water
sizzles and stir with a spatula for 20 minutes.
D) Drain on paper towels.
