Try Some Sugary Sweet Sugar Muffins!
What could be more appetizing than a couple of sugar muffins? They
are easy to make and even give some of the fanciest and complex desserts a run for their money. These tasty
treats will not disappoint!
Cooking Instructions:
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking
time: 20-25 minutes
*Makes 9 muffins
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup vegetable shortening
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 ½ cups cake flour
- 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ? teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup melted butter
- ½ cup sugar
Cooking Steps:
A) Make sure to grease your cast iron muffin pan. Set oven to 325 degrees to preheat and set cast iron pan
inside.
B) Mix the vegetable shortening and sugar, then, and your
egg.
C) In another bowl, blend your baking powder, salt and
cinnamon with a large spoon. Then add mixture to your creamed sugar. Add milk.
D) Pour the batter into the hot preheated cast iron pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
E) Carefully remove the pan from the oven and let it sit to cool for about 4 minutes. The final step is to coat
the top of your muffins with melted butter and then roll them in sugar. (Best when served
warm!)
